What to Wear

                                                 What to Wear

Hey everyone! What to Wear will be on break for a bit while the Pua studio starts working on the new collection! I cant wait. The new fabrics are just beautiful.

These are silks from India,
they are made only from cocoons discarded after the silk moth has naturally emerged. Peaceful.

Block prints on a whisper soft cotton

Beautiful loomed linen from Italy....Soft to the touch, cool on the skin.

I'll stop in on Wednesdays now and then to share something fun and interesting, until then I'll be working hard in the studio!

                                                                             Enjoy!

I love this line for it's bold use of color and pattern. I'm crushing on the sheer shift, I want it. I also love their sense of humor like the T-shirt! You can find Clover Canyon at many boutiques or at their on line shop:clovercanyon.com

Hello Friday

Hello Friday!

Pua had a very successful weekend at the West Seattle Summer Fest. It was so much fun, it felt like a carnival. I must admit that it's the first time that I have ever done anything like this. We had to set up the first day at 6 am, that's super early for me, and work until 8 pm.

I shared a booth with Eve Austin Designs, who is also my mom, she makes beautiful hand loomed bracelets. We're just setting up in these photos.

I met Dana Landon, she is a style, food and life style blogger for her blog is It's My Darlin'.

She liked what I was wearing and took a couple of pictures for her street style section on her blog. I was flattered to say the least! I dressed for comfort that day because I had to move everything and set up and then work.

Dana's blog is great and so is she. I really appreciated that she loved Pua and even purchased a couple of pretty thing. Thanks again Dana!

I'm really glad we did this. I met some very nice people and it was good to get feedback on what we're doing.

Have a happy weekend!
Enjoy

Hello Friday

Hello Friday!

Today I'm thinking about art for my downstairs bathroom. I've been thinking about collecting letterpress style of prints with a Hawaiian theme.

I love this colorful print from Big Island Bees, I think it's actually a label but it would make great wall art.

This trio of prints is by Everything is Jake. I found these on Etsy, the artist is Nick Kuchar. I love all of his prints and I can't decide on which to get. My first thought is to collect a print from everyplace I've ever been in Hawaii but I don't think I'd have enough wall space! Check out his work, oh and Jake is his dog.

I love the color in this one by Diego Patino, it reminds me of Waikiki Beach and Duke and his longboard. Now I just need to decide...

                                            Have a happy weekend,
                                                          Enjoy!
