Design Crush
Bottega Veneta
S/S 2013
I usually don't go for a big named designer but I love Bottega Veneta. This spring and summer collection is so beautiful and I'm crushing on the flowered fabrics! I love the paneled fronts of the dresses, the mix of patterns and that some of the flowers are cut out and standing up off the fabric. That is time consuming hand work! I really want to wear that bright orange shift, I love the detail.

Hello Friday!
Hello Everyone,
I'm feeling the need to break away from sewing and jewelry making for a few days. I love paper art, especially Origami. It so beautiful and I love the geometry of it. I'm amazed that such intricate design can be created with such a humble and at times fragile material.
This is by Origami artist Paul Jackson, it's too cute! Made with magazine paper, what a great way to recycle. This would be fantastic in a child's room.
This is the work of Robert J. Lang. I love the Koi...and the Goat (do you see the face in the rock?)...and the Gold Fish.

Rachel Comey launched her menswear collection in 2001, it was so popular with women that in 2003 she created a women's line. Inspired by vintage looks and rock and roll makes her line very popular with the downtown crowed it's polished details make her clothing stand out. I'm crushing on the Dune dress I just love it's shape and fabric. I also love the Qatar coat (I have a thing for coats). Hello Friday!
We love camping and camping on the beach is the just best! In the summer when we do get some really warm days we'll take off for the coast. I love to have a pretty camp, the Mr. thinks it's silly that I want to hang fabrics and have beach pillows around but I know he really likes it. Right now the Mr. and I have a tent that we use for camping but we would like to get a camper trailer one day. It would make surfing in the cooler month much more enjoyable. I've found some PRETTY pictures of campsites to share with you.

This is the Cricket Trailer. It's super light weight and would be easy to tow behind my Jeep.
I love Airstreams but as with anything that becomes popular it becomes expensive. I absolutely love the interior of this Airstream....
