I love to see craftsmanship in others work, it inspires me to do better. Gary Graham collections are always so simple and sophisticated, you can see the
couture details. It's very lovely.

                                                                      Enjoy!

Hello Friday!

Hi Everyone!

I'm itchy for some beach time. It's still cold here but it is improving, slowly. I really want to go to the North Shore and visit the town of Hale'iwa. The historical rainbow bridge marks the entrance to the town.

And of course there is that famous sign...

Everyone knows the North Shore is the place for the big guns of surfing. The Triple Crown and Pipeline competitions are held here, and many more. I've always wanted to come and see the action, of course it would just make me want to surf.

I love the laid back look of the town it reminds me of Hanalei on Kaua'i. Looks like the shopping would be fun too!

Boutiques are plentiful. I really like Noelani Studios which is the boutique and jewelry studio of Noelani. Here she incorporates her own beautiful designs as well as other lines of clothing, soaps and accessories from local designers.

There are many beautiful beaches to lounge and explore marine life. If your going to Honolulu make sure to save sometime and see the real Oahu.

Design Crush

                                                       Alabama Chanin

I have had a crush on Natalie Chanin ever since she founded Project Alabama. I desperatly wanted to carry her handmade clothing in our boutique but I just couldn't find a way to make it work.

Since then she has started Alabama Chanin which is also a custom, hand sewn, luxurious clothing line and her story is heart warming and inspiring. I would love to own a piece or two from her boutique but until I win the lottery that will be a dream. The great thing is you can build your own Alabama wardrobe! Natalie has published several books that contain patterns with instructions how to sew your own Alabama Chanin clothing. I have been working on mine for a few years now. Every time I pick up my sewing needle it makes me smile to think I'll own a piece of her world.

                                                                                Enjoy!
